Luxury Shepherds Hut - The Moorhen by the lake

had an amazing stay for the weekend, very close to city centre, sam was lovely and had brilliant communication would definitely come back

i would recommend maybe putting more gravel down the foot paths especially in the weather and it was very slippery and hard to walk down

Absolutely perfect, had everything you’d need for your stay. We where met by host, he was so friendly and helpful. Perfect quiet location, not far from outlet or city centre. Everything was perfectly clean and it was super cosy. We will be back. Thank you so much.

Close to York city centre and York designer outlet. Nice and peaceful setting. Clean, cosy cabin.

Great shepherds hut, excellent use of the space. Provided with the basics such as milk, tea coffee, sugar, washing up liquid. Warm and cosy, lovely area and views of the lake/pond.

The property was lovely and clean. Lovely view of the lake and cows near by.

The property was perfect for us.

We have just had a weekend here to celebrate our engagement and from the moment we arrived, everyone was friendly and welcoming. The check in information was easy to follow, they met us at the car park with a cart to carry all out things. The hut was clean and cosy, feeling like home and the view of the lake was just incredible. There is a flower garden you can walk round and request a bunch of flowers to be specially cut and prepared to take home. The owner, came and showed us around the farm, to see there cows and horse and answers questions about the animals/farm, very lovely and chatty. It was around and 20 minutes from York city centre and they explained all the transport links and places to avoid the expensive daily parking. We would 100% come again, and planning a date already🖤

The only thing that was annoying was the pull out double bed left a gap in the middle (because it was two single mattress’s) but this is minor
