Luxury Shepherds Hut - The Moorhen by the lake

Exceptional accommodation very clean and cosy ideal for relaxation. Lovely and peaceful. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely stay here again. The site was very friendly and met lovely people including Kath and Guiness x

Everything! Location was great as Shepard huts are ideally located to offer individual space and views. The Moorhen was a very good use of space, with a very comfy bed and powerful shower. The Shepard hut offered everything for a very cosy stay whilst the surroundings offered peace and relaxation, which is exactly what we wanted. We are already looking at booking again as we already miss it!

Quiet area , amazing views , friendly staff

Beds weren’t comfortable (mostly pillows) , not ski h space between toilet and sink.

Everything was spotlessly clean, beds super comfy. Only thing was the spotlights didn’t work. The perfect place to chill out and the superb weather just made the perfect weekend. Will definitely be back.

Lovely peaceful site within easy commute of York city centre. Great huts with great shower and cooking facilities. Nice to be amongst the cows and see the tiny ducklings.

Not a dislike, more general feedback..Would have loved to purchase breakfast as an option even if a breakfast continental style type basket...
