Sahom Valley Resort - Agro & Eco Park

Its variety. Pool, pond, river. All in one. Makan dalam sungai definitely very enjoyable experience. We stay at Bamboo Village, dont expect much but suprisingly we enjoy the simplicity of this Bamboo house..

Simple dinner and breakfast.. but understandable as this is easy for them to manage. Still enjoy the food though.. Bring your own snacks and side dish if you’re not a light eater..they have river cafe too and the food is good for me.

- definitely the location is what this resort had to kill for : misty tall dark mountains at the background, clear soft gurgling nearby river, calm wide lake, chirping happy forest friends, cool light rain, blue shady sky, please book to stay for ayt keast two nights because you will not get enough of it with just one night stay - soft yellow lights from hanging lights at certain areas gives the romantic twilight vibe at late evening while you stroll around - rustic cobblestone architecture of some of the buildings fits in the picture perfectly (we were staying in riverside village) - chairs from woodcarvings are just so nice to all the picture above - manmade pool with slide and waterfall just in front of the village - at heritage village (which is much nicer) also has its own manmade pool and sldie, unfortunately due to time constrain were not able to try it out - humble and nice lady at the reception, there are several tahfiz students around as well helping out - price including dinner (buffet style steamboat) and breakfat (buffet style malaysian breakfast) - tons of activities to do around: fishing, kayaking, strolling, swimming, camping, bonfire, cycling - open sky bathroom, so rustic and pretty, for those wearing tudung like me, i really enjoy it - astro, sejadah, towels available - ni mosquitoe, i can promise you that - very cool at night, the blankets provided is comfy

- the round leading to the resort is scary. if we came at night, i would turn around and cancel the trip, there is no lights to guide you, very few signboards to tell you that you are at the right place - the room was very dim, only two light bulbs present, i like a well lit room - no toiletries available - the dustbin was not cleared out - animals come and poop outside your door, so bring your shoes inside the room - if you take the semi-D room, you can literally hear everything the other guest next door is doing, let alone saying, we didnt enjoy this part - dinner and breakfast did not have a lot of variety of food, it was tasty though - service is not satisfactory as it seems at only person is taking care of everything - the whole place seems a little bit undermaintained, i was told the place has been open for 10 years already, so you kinda have this little thought at the back of your mind, if only they maintained it more - the shower does not have a shower head - not good value for money, the price is expensive for the small room we had, plus the noisy nextdoor neighbour, for the same price we could have a nice premium stay in cameron highland with huge buffet for breakfast
