The road condition towards gibbon.....
MYIt is an hour from KL and therefore easily accessible, yet once inside the retreat, it’s a haven away from the city desert, heat and dusty glare. Quite lush with a river running through one side of it, this retreat is a necessary green lung that soothes and reminds you how essential our jungle—nature—is to our wellbeing. The chalet had everything we needed from a stove, crockery, cutlery, drinking water, fans, toiletries and mosquito coils to hot water in the shower(!) Nothing extravagant; instead perfectly simple and just what we needed. I felt it was well managed, and quite well thought out. The caretakers are responsive and never intrusive. The retreat is called Gibbon Retreat and I was relieved to hear some gibbons singing through the treetops in the morning. This despite some dismaying quarrying and destruction of a mountainside nearby. Last but not least, just to point out that while there are almost a dozen chalets (if I’m not mistaken) on the property, you feel you have privacy and your own space to just be.
If I were to suggest anything, it might be to freshen it up a bit here and there, with a fresh lick of paint on the walls of the chalet (I can only speak of the one we were in) and a tidy-up around the common areas. And an updated map of the route, chalets and common areas would be helpful too.
MYUnit is clean and we really love the environment. Jason has been very helpful. They have very friendly dogs too. We had a relaxing trip and planned to be back .
Might want to consider to touch up one side of the bathroom wall :-)
MYVery quiet and calm place with many cute doggies to play with. Toilet was clean with good facilities such as bbq pit, stove and utensils to use
A portable air conditioner would really make it even better as it gets hot and humid in the afternoon More acitivities would also make it more fun
