The Pod

A fan was provided when requested Hot tub was at the correct temperature upon arrival, ready to use. We were offered to be moved to a different property but there was no hot tub, which is why we chose this pod.

We were really looking forward to our stay in the pod, but unfortunately, a number of issues impacted our overall experience quite significantly. On arrival, we were immediately struck by a strong stale or smoky smell in the pod, which was very off-putting. It was clear that the space had not been thoroughly cleaned beforehand—cutlery and plates were not properly washed, the kettle and toaster were dusty, and the towels provided were stained. Additionally, there was no dishcloth or bin bag supplied, which made basic tidying up difficult. The pod was extremely hot when we arrived, with no air conditioning available—something that made it particularly uncomfortable for our dog as well. While we were grateful to be provided with a floor fan, it didn’t really solve the problem in such a confined space. Another concern was the bathroom and shower setup. After using the shower, the water remained pooled on the floor, making it unavoidable to walk through a puddle to reach the toilet. This persisted into the following day, suggesting poor drainage and general design flaws. We also noticed some unsettling oversights—a random knife left on the bathroom windowsill and animal mess left on the stones outside the pod. These were not only unhygienic but also disappointing in terms of general upkeep. Furthermore, there were no complimentary refreshments provided (no tea, coffee, or milk), and we were surprised that no bathrobes were available for the hot tub. While we were offered two small hand towels after asking, we had expected something a little more considered. On the positive side, we appreciated that the team provided us with a fan to help with the heat and responded when we asked for towels. However, overall, the experience fell below expectations, especially considering the cost of the stay.

Lovely stay, quiet site, and very clean. It was lovely to be able to relax as we had been camping in the car for a few days. Would come back again 🙂

There were a lot of rules with the hot tub which were understandable but putting a sign up about restricting the hot tub to 15 minutes made it difficult to relax. Other than that, it was okay.

Perfect facilities, lovely outside seating area, hot tub ideal to relax, room size was great including kettle, microwave and mini oven.

The roof window is beautiful and lets so much light in however it could do with a blind to close.
