Mowani Mountain Camp - Damaraland

Mowani is an exceptional property, with a stunning location amidst giant granite boulders with great views across the surrounding countryside. Each room is private and secluded, with a balcony. The rooms and the common areas are very comfortable and tastefully decorated. There is a pool with views across the plains below. The food was delicious. The staff were fantastic, especially our waiter Kevin who was great company. In all, a very well managed property and probably one of the best stays I’ve ever had.

Everything was perfect. Just note that there is not a lot of game viewing, as Mowani is not in or near a major game reserve. But you can go to Etosha for that.

The scenary is just impressing. You feel like staying in a camp in Mars. Very different from any place and we visited so far in the world

We missed aircon instead of a noisy fan and there is only a slow WIFi in the lobby area. When you pay 600+ USD per night you expect to find these facilities. The minibar was only filled with a bottle of filtered water. Apart from the amazing scenary, I did not find good value for money

WiFi connection was inexistent in our rooms. No data connection either. Very isolating.

We stayed for our honeymoon. Incredible view, room and food. I have never stayed anywhere with such an incredible view. We have no words to describe how beautiful. Did a fantastic desert elephant drive too.

The site of the hotel is magnificent, the staff is welcoming, smiling, available and sensitive to your satisfaction. The rooms, mini suite, exceptional, the view for the aperitif sunset, breathtaking.
