Jantara Resort and Restaurant

Staff was very helpful and attentive :) Our pod which we stayed at was very unique. We loved the bath outside at the balcony too!

There was no English menu so it was hard to order anything for dinner but once we managed to order something whatever arrived was very delicious! Perhaps adding an English menu would be good.

the staff were very friendly and helpful and eager to make sure we had a good time! they took the care to spell “happy honeymoon” in flower stems and flower petals on our bed in our private river cabana hut as we told them it was our honeymoon vacation. the kitchen closes early so we arrived too late but the manager personally called me before I boarded my plane to see if I wanted to order food so it would be ready for us when we arrived! I’ve never had a resort do this for us before while traveling thailand. the river huts are literally ON the water! entirely made of bamboo in a floating dock type system— but very stable! each river hut has its own paddle board and/or kayak to use as well! we enjoyed a quick morning paddle right outside of our front door. the river is not clear FYI so if you’re looking for tropical blue water this is not it but you’re surrounded by beautiful mountainous terrain and pretty secluded & immersed with the local culture! side note: AC included in huts! :)

actually, we really enjoyed everything! we just were surprised to find that we were on a murky river but after talking with the staff we learned the river is totally safe and they actually swim in it daily! from the photos it can be a bit deceiving if the water but nonetheless the experience was worth it. the huts are nicer than any I’ve ever stayed in, top notch bamboo! also breakfast is served to you and you don’t order what you want (but it’s included in the room cost) so make sure you let them know at or before check in if you have dietary restrictions as I didn’t and as a vegetarian the breakfast was not veg-friendly lol. I managed to eat around it and it was still delicious!!
