Hotel Campestre La Tata

I liked the location it was very close to the Parque del Cafe.

The room was okay but had openings where the little lizards and bugs could come in. As well the staff at the front were uninformed about the exception to the 19% tax if you have dual nationality and this was the only place where we were charged this tax. The breakfast included was very minimal and was not consistent. Overall the stay was overpriced for what you got and the extra payment at the end was more than disappointing.

Location, this place is awesome for people and families looking to be on a walking distance from "El Parque del Cafe". The pool and spa area are in great confitions.

Lights, the TV and some amenities were damaged or in poor conditions. Overall it was not a problem, but it's something that could be improved to keep rooms in the best shape. Also, staff were a little too restrict regarding the posibility of having extra food at breakfast (cheese, bread, etc).

I would rate the food at the restaurant a 7 out of 10. The manager/supervisor of the restaurant was exceptionally pleasant and assisted us with our requests.

The hotel is quite mediocre, and the cost doesn't align with the experience. The rooms lack proper maintenance, with broken lamps, ripped shower curtains, various stains, loose fixtures and serious cleanliness concerns. Be cautious if you're uneasy about lizards. When we were first given our room we noticed several fecal droppings in the bathroom. We called that same night and the receptionist told us it’s normal and that they are harmless. We asked that they clean it the next day. They attempted to clean it but still missed several of the fecal droppings despite telling them exactly where each dropping was. We finally got a hold of one of the housekeepers and we showed her where each one was. However, she also stated that it was normal for lizards to enter and that this was a country hotel. Overall, the staff, particularly reception and housekeeping, lacks empathy and responsiveness, merely accepting problems with a "it is what it is" attitude. The food at the restaurant overall was good, and the restaurant service was good except for one night where our waiter dismissed our request to refill the filtered water jug so that we could refill our water bottles. We went to reception to ask if they could resolve the issue, but they also dismissed it and suggested we could buy bottled water instead. For the price guests pay for this hotel you should not need to be buying bottled water. We eventually were able to get a hold of the restaurant manager who resolved the situation promptly. Overall, my family and I are disappointed, and I'd advise considering alternative accommodations in the area.
