Hotel Campestre La Tata

I lived in the US, and I booked the hotel a few weeks before. Booking showed one price, and when I arrived to the hotel I was charged 19% of tax which is charged to Colombians, who also live in Colombia. I didn’t have my US passport with a stamp. I explained that I used biometrics when I do immigration. Also, I used my Colombian passport to enter the country, still. It was not enough. Sadly, I had to pay it.

Location on the main road, it some how noisy.

I liked how close the hotel was to the coffee park (walking distance), how comfy the rooms were and the view we had in our balcony, the pool was nice and clean, as well as the kids pool. In general the facilities were very nice, the staff very professional and friendly.

The hotel food could be better, the jacuzzi hours were not clear, the poster said 6pm, the front desk staff said 6:30pm, the regular staff said 7pm, but either way when they turn it on, it was not very hot for a jacuzzi, barely warm. Also there was some bee issues in the hallway that lead to the room, that clearly was not even dealt with.

Location! I stayed there one night, only to visit the Coffee Park the next day. It is literally only a couple mins walk from the hotel. Also, the food in the restaurant. One of the best meals I’ve had so far in the past month I’ve been in Colombia.

The room smelled weird and it wasn’t very clean. Especially the floor, two dead spiders on there when I walked in.
