Wild Wadi Wilpattu - Villas with private Plunge Pools

Privacy, size of rooms. Quiet. Unga the dog and squirrels. Clean. The staff were very very friendly, exceptionally helpful on site as well as with future endeavors, and wonderful food providers. The staff also set us up with great driver and safari for two.

A bit isolated = a bit of a captive audience. On the other hand, the isolation means escape from the masses and accompanying noise, pollution, etc.

One of my favourite places I stayed in Sri Lanka. Manori and his team were such kind and friendly people, so helpful with organising activities and food was great. Absolutely recommend!

Er was een aparte douchekop voor warm en koud water, dit maakte het wel ingewikkeld met de temperatuur regelen maar verder was alles top

I find this very hard to write as the staff are so amenable but I feel an honest account of our stay is needed for future travellers. Unfortunately although being marketed as a luxury resort it most definitely isn’t. It’s hard to know where to start; the rooms are ok but the bathrooms are very tired and the whole unit needs refreshing. In the bedroom many of the sockets don’t work which means it’s quite a juggle to charge all devices. Two of the window blinds were also broken so it was difficult to see the wildlife! The bed was comfortable but only had a sheet and no extra covers or blanket so I was cold and resorted to covering myself with a towel. I could have turned the air con down but it was old and not very reliable so I left it on the setting provided. We opted for the western breakfast which was frankly the worst breakfast that we have had in Sri Lanka. Fruit- fine, juice - fne. one frankfurter and tasteless omelette ( no onion pepper, seasoning etc added). There was no tomato, cucumber or anything else on the plate except for 3 slices of white processed bread, butter and some Jam. In fairness the Sri Lankan breakfast was much better and on the second day I did receive a garnish of cucumber and tomato with my omelette. This is a nice resort in a great location and it wouldn’t take much to make it that very special place. Please repair things, update the rooms, clear up the monkey poo daily and generally give the place a bit of a spruce! Sadly I would not stay here again as it is over-priced for what it is (we paid £220 for a 2 night stay with breakfast) and it most definitely is not a luxury resort. Finally we ordered the seafood BBQ and bonfire for our last night in Sri Lanka. Sadly another disappointment. We did ask for no crab in the morning but asked if we could have some extra prawns instead.

De locatie is echt fantastisch! ’s Ochtends word je wakker met uitzicht op apen, geiten en allerlei vogels. Wij verbleven in cabin 505, vanwaar je mooi uitkijkt op een klein meertje. Bij aankomst werden we bovendien heel hartelijk ontvangen. De cabins zijn ruim en comfortabel. Houd er wel rekening mee dat je buiten niets kunt laten staan vanwege de apen ook schoenen voor de deur worden niet aangeraden.
