Sedgefield Huts

The view of the lake is lovely.

I recently stayed at this place and had a rather disappointing experience. There were no towels provided, and I was left without basic amenities like water- the host forgot to switch the water on and did not answer the phone immediately to sort out the issue. To make matters worse, the room had a noticeable miffy smell. The crockery area was dirty, and it was clear that no cleaning had been done. I even moved the toilet roll and found dead spiders and worms underneath. The room itself wasn’t even the same as what I had book- on bookings.com, it said that it was a 4 sleeper with a lounge area but what we got was actually a 2 sleeper room. On the plus side, the view was nice, but that was the only redeeming quality of my stay.

The huts are small but quite quaint

No aircon

It was quiet and peaceful.

There were lots of crawling bugs.

No soap dish/basket in the shower. It would be nice if the paved paths connected the kitchen/bathroom building to the sleeping Huts. Particularly for rain conditions to avoid walking mud & sand into those living spaces.

Nothing

The road to the huts with a normal car not nice at all what a journey up and down,there was so many spiders inside the hut and spider webbs. you cannot sleep peaceful,could notice havent been used for a while and havent been cleaned out at all,bedding was smelly and big spiders in the bathroom also not cleaned out at all., surrounding area felt a bit dangerous was awake most of the night due to all of the above,had such a bad experience. Never again.
