Scallow Campsite

Willow pod was very nice, lovely outside seating area, with private area around the side of pod where we did a bbq, personal shower room was nice lovely power shower with great temperature, could leave bathroom bellongings in room and lock door. Mattress was lovely and pillows smelt realy nice. Loved the Dunelm mugs. Hamper with biscuits, tea coffee and milk pods where nice. WiFi very good and did not cut out once. Nice 2km walk around 22 mins to local village with pub and small shop selling essentials ( Biddenden cider ha). Very easy check in as was emailed access code for keybox the morning of arrival.

Warm at night felt like winter quilt on bed, few cooking items where dirty so had to clean before using. Trouble with flies at night, (keep curtain closed on doors when sitting outside of an evening) Radiator in bathroom very hot, (mind your bum when drying yourself)

Beautiful pod - very cosy, very well equipped. Extremely clean. Comfortable bed and fluffy towels! It was great having a private bathroom.

The surrounding area was beautiful and the walk into East Hoathley very pleasant. The bathroom facilities were excellent although not convenient for midnight visits to the WC (I guess as is common to most campsites). The bed, duvet and pillows were very comfortable. Great to have an excellent community owned pub a 20 minute walk away

A vent at the back of the pod would allow more through-draught as the pods can become very hot in the summer. I found the cooking facilities rather cramped and difficult (the camping toaster arrangement is prone to collapse in mid toasting). Despite the rural location there is a slightly industrial feel to the location with large low level barns behind the site and concrete surfaces for vehicle access. However this can't be helped as it appears to be a working farm.

Friendly staff, friendly campers, extremely clean, very comfortable, lovely decking (especially with the heatwave), facilities were great, easy check-in.

Nit-picking, but I don't think there was enough wattage on the plugs to charge my phone so I used portable chargers, but I don't want to downvote on this too much in case it's more of an issue with my phone!

There wasn't any breakfast provided but we loved the fridge! We had our own food and had tea and boiled eggs with bread and butter for breakfast. It was fun! We loved the patio and the design inside the pod. Everything was very handy. The blackout was superb. We also loved our own shower room bathroom in the other block - having a key meant we could leave stuff in it. The WiFi was great.

Getting rid of spare tea was annoying - we'd have loved a nearby sluice or drain. I kept forgetting there was no sink in the room because it felt like a hotel room!

Lovely place in pretty surrounding. The pod was well equipped and really comfortable and cost. Facilities were excellent and really appreciated having private bathrooms for each pod.
