Fodele Beach Water Park Resort

3rd time in the resort in Crete and it only gets better and better. New renovation of plaza and pool area are amazing. We stayed at a sea front room which were part of the latest renovations - all worth the upgrade vs the double rooms.

Late October can be chilly but you can always enjoy stunning views in Fodele

The food was good, lots of variety and to a good standard. Food was presented well and the restaurant kept neat and tidy. The staff in the restaurant were helpful and attentive. The location was lovely and had great views. Our children enjoyed the kids club and the staff there were good.

There have clearly been some renovations down by the pool area and bars but much of the resort including the rooms felt very tired and old. In comparison to some of the other 5 star resorts we've been to on the island it was significantly below the standard we had expected. 'All inclusive' wasn't great with very little on offer, charging €10 a day for the mini bar in your room to be refilled with 1 beer and some cheap soft drinks was pretty poor. The family rooms were very tired and old with a very uncomfortable bed. Apart from the restaurant staff we generally didn't find them very helpful and attentive. The evening entertainment stage was awful, we've seen some amazing shows at resorts on the island and this was a poorly made stage, falling apart that looked awful.

Food was excellent. Great facilities. Very helpful staff. accommodation very nice. the staff are so good and always helpful.

It was a great stay, I enjoyed the food, the facilities and the beach. I will come back here again. Plenty of activities, food choices and cocktails.

It gets very crowded around lunch and dinner times. They have a "late dinner" buffet, but the choices are very (very) limited. The specialty restaurants need to be booked in advance, nothing wrong with that, but you may not be able to get a slot for some of the restaurants. Also, you only are allowed to book every restaurant once, we stayed 10 nights but were told that you need to stay at least 14 nights to be able to book them again.

The pools are very nice, the aqua park is fun and the beach of the complex is ok. There are many restaurants with different cuisines. Good and varied food.

The room was a little dirty, especially the bathroom. Everything else was ok.
