Marahau Beach Camp

Slightly cold in winter but great location for exploring the national park.

Didnt know you had to pay for the shower before arriving. Not expensive at all but would have been nice to know to prepare the coins before arrival.

Comfy and in the perfect location for the park. We stayed in the double room in the off season so only us and 1 other person and it was lovely.

Central location for the walk, great information from the shop staff. Loved being able to cook in our own room, great size fridge. Handy parking for the car and able to enjoy the use of the bbq table in the sun.

We had a private room in the backpacker dormitory, and since there were no other guests, we had the whole unit for ourselves. There are two toilet, a terrace, a lounge and a kitchen. Good location next to the sea and the information center and dedicated parking next to the unit

Everything is quite old, and our room was quite cold (well, we was there at the end of the season and in a pretty chill day). The toilet and the shower are in the same rooms, so when there is the full occupancy might be not enough (2 toilet for 16 guests....)

All great, stayed in a cabin, but was very comfortable, especially the beds. Nicely equipped cabin kitchen. Good base for Abel Tasman trips and tracks.

Dont like shared bathrooms in general, here on top of all shared bathroom cons you need coins to get the shower running (4 minutes one cycle, starts immediately once you insert coin, so take off clothes first, otherwise you lose time :)), that was quite uncomfortable and didnt see any point in it. Including shower fee in the room rate would be much better.

Tout était top, cabine super spacieuse, avec cuisine, petite terrasse et possibilité de se garer juste devant. Literie confortable. Idéalement situé juste en face du centre d’accueil du parc national et du départ des bateaux taxis.

Les douches en nombre insuffisant (seulement 2) et qui nécessitent une bonne organisation en raison de la limite à 4 minutes. Suffisant certes mais attention l’eau chaude peut mettre beaucoup de temps à arriver ! Néanmoins pour des douches communes elles sont étonnamment propres et spacieuses !
