Bidiya Desert Camp

A little distance away from the other camps and up on a ridge so the views over the dunes are amazing. The tents on stilts also great! Dinner and breakfast wonderful, hosts very friendly around the campfire. Easy pickup from local town where we left our hire car. Great experience!

Great location right next to dunes, you can go for a walk in the desert to see incredible sunset/sunrise but safari tour is higly recomended and worth every riyal! :) Hamet and Abdullah are both kind and helpful. We had a great time! :D

A huge disappointment. The place is surrounded by fences, making it far from an atmospheric location. . The room was very poorly cleaned, and everything was old and rusty. There was no hot water, and the water pressure was terrible—barely enough to take a shower. At check-in, they told us that the campfire would be lit at 20:30. We went there at 20:40, but it hadn’t been lit. We asked when it would be started, and they told us "now." However, even at 21:40, the fire still hadn’t been lit. The accommodation price is extremely high for the quality. I recommend staying elsewhere. The amenities listed on Booking.com include many things, such as a swimming pool—which does not exist. There is also no internet, despite their website claiming otherwise! The terrace doesn’t even have chairs, let alone a table. There are no power outlets near the bed. No slippers, no conditioner, no pool towels, etc. This accommodation is absolutely not suitable for wheelchair users. There is a threshold to the bathroom, and the room does not have enough space for a wheelchair to turn. There is also no wardrobe or storage space, even though it is mentioned in the description. Booking.com also mentions a walking safari, but they didn’t inform us about it at all. Instead, they offered camel rides, cycling, or dune driving for 10–30 OMR. The breakfast was also nothing special. Only few things.

It was a perfect and luxurious experience in the middle of the desert. I loved living in the hut and I want to come again. The location is beautiful and easy to reach also, the staff are very kind.
