Facilities within the room, mainly the bathroom was a little uncomfortable

Cabin was very small and old,bathroom was tiny. Have stayed in units there 3 times before and this was the worst cabin. Definitely not good value for what we paid….

Misleading and Disappointing – Felt Deceived I booked a stay at Yandina Caravan Park three days before traveling through Booking.com. It was a last-minute, non-refundable deal that looked attractive due to the low price and images showing cabins. Based on those images and the note about “keys to be picked up at reception,” I reasonably assumed I had booked a cabin. However, when I arrived at 8:00 pm, the main office was closed. A note on the door provided a code to open the boom gate, which led me to a grass campsite intended for tents. I did not bring a tent, as I had no idea I had booked a camping spot. I immediately called the after-hours number to explain the situation. I was told they were fully booked and no assistance could be provided. When I requested a refund, I was flatly refused. I explained that it was late, and finding another place at that hour would be difficult and costly. What I found most upsetting is that, although this booking was marked as non-refundable, I’ve received refunds before through Booking.com under similar circumstances. It’s clear this property simply chose not to help, even though the misunderstanding was reasonable given the way the listing was presented. In my opinion, this was a misleading experience, lacking in transparency and basic compassion. I had to drive back to Brisbane that night and ended up paying for accommodation I never used. I would not recommend Yandina Caravan Park, and I won’t be returning. It’s not just about policy—it’s about integrity and how you treat people.
