The staff is the friendliest I’ve found throughout my whole trip in Indonesia. This is not your typical hotel/home-stay, but rather an experience where you get the rare chance to get involved in a small community and village, making you feel like one of their own. Everyone is super friendly, available for anything you need, always with a smile on their faces, with local guides who really know their way around rice fields and monkey forests. I think this is the closest we got to have a genuine Indonesian experience. The staff made us feel like home and we left feeling like we had made new friends for life.

If you know that you’re coming into a real life-like experience, living like the locals, then there isn’t anything to not like. The rooms are not hotel-like, sure, there can be a few bugs here and there, but that’s what happens when you’re staying literally next to the jungle and the rice fields. If you want a hotel-like experience, perhaps this isn’t your place. But if you want a real, genuine experience with people who really take care of you and go above and beyond to transmit you the genuine Indonesian experience, then this is your place. The path to get to the bungalows is a bit tricky, but it’s also part of the experience.

Place is a gem. The paintings, the breakfast area, the whole vibe was amazing. Loved the hammocks and how kind the staff were. Yummy breakfast. And hot water showers :)

Just the road to get to the accommodation is bit tricky to navigate. But it’s worth it for where you stay.

The place to be in Tetebatu. Je voelt je hier echt in het paradijs, wat is het hier fantastisch! Prachtige omgeving, prachtig huisjes. Het ligt 500 meter van de weg, je loopt over een smal paadje via een soort woongemeenschap naar het huisje en iedereen is heel erg vriendelijk als je langs loopt. De jongens die hier werken zijn ontzettend aardig en willen alles voor je doen. Toen ze doorhadden dat mijn vrouw bij aankomst flinke last van haar darmen had, kreeg ze een schaaltje met zout, wat blaadjes en 2 groene bolletjes, wat ze samen moest opeten. Het was niet echt lekker maar de volgende dag waren de klachten, die ze al een paar dagen had, en hiervoor had opgelopen, verholpen. Als ontbijt bieden ze heerlijke bananen pannenkoeken of omelet wat bij de overnachtingsprijs in zit. De sfeer in het restaurant is heerlijk relaxed,met super goed eten en goede muziek. En wat een fantastische tour van 4 uur hebben wij met hun gemaakt. Over kleine smalle paadjes tussen de rijstvelden door. De mannen waren het land aan het bewerken met machines en de dames waren nieuwe rijstplantjes aan het zetten. We hebben veel fruit en specerijen gezien: nootmuskaat, pepers, koriander, laurier, jackfruit, oerwoudkomkommer ( erg lekker) bananen, katoen enz enz. Over glibberige rotsen naar de waterval. Tot slot naar het bos waar veel apen zitten. We hebben ze beide gezien, zowel de zwarte met enorme lange staarten als de grijze apen. Wat super bijzonder om deze beesten tegen te komen tijdens een wandeling. Een prachtige wandeling! Azis en zijn personeel zijn heel vriendelijk, glimlachen de hele dag en proberen je het naar je zin te maken. Ze hebben ons ook geholpen met vervoer naar de boot en om een ticket daarvoor te regelen voor een goede prijs.

Verwacht geen 5 sterren hotel luxe.

When you enter the bungalows you have a sign that says something like "enter as a guest and leave as family" and they delivered. This place has a special charm. It definitely made our experience in Lombok the best of the trip. They are located in the middle of a small village and the facilities are authentic. You're surrounded by nature and the host and employees are very friendly, humble, willing to help and share some laughs. We booked with them a tour to the waterfalls, black monkey forest and the rice fields. Cok, our guide, had lots of experience and was very funny. He then took us to a place for lunch that was very cheap and delicious!! After the tour we were lucky to attend a wedding in the village and it was just amazing. It was the same host who invited us and made us feel like home. For the next day we booked with them a tour that included local market, handcraft spots and a cooking class. It was so much fun. Tony is the best driver and took us to the local market, made us try some local snacks, and then took us to the pottery, bamboo and sarong art shops. There we learned the process for all these crafts. When we arrived into the bungalows, everything was ready for the cooking class and we shared a lovely moment with the women from the village. They don't speak English but we had Aziz doing the translation for us. The food was unique and delicious. We had three rooms and each room was different, only one had hot water, but it was okay since we used it after long sunny days. It is a magic place where you get to share with locals and you're taken out of your comfort zone. For the price we paid, it had the breakfast included which was a big plus.

The staff was always at the bar drinking and smoking which killed a bit the vibe of the experience. It was a bit chaotic and informal the payment, but again part of the experience. A bit less of alcohol consumption could improve a lot the experience and management of the place.

L accueil incroyable, de vraies rencontres, un endroit unique au milieu de la jungle. Vraiment très beau dans une ambiance folle ou les choses sont faites avec le cœur. Une vraie expérience. Je recommande les excursions, nous avons appris plein de choses, hors des sentiers battus, et beaucoup beaucoup rigolé. Merci encore a Azis, a notre guide et notre chauffeur. Une fois dans ce petit repère in a plus envie de partir....

when entering the bungalow you find a sign that says “come as guest and leave as family”. although we have only spent one night here, we totally got where that sign came from. we hang out with the stag, who was lovely and friendly. they offer tours and cooking time. we really got the true and authentic Tetebatu vibe and we are extremely grateful for the moments spent together. amazing location, which felt very local, in the middle of the nature. highly recommended.

Très bon séjour , le personnel est fort sympathique et l’endroit est authentique au bord d’une rivière et d’une cascade .

Heel leuke locatie met vriendelijke bediening en lokale gerechten. Top wandeling gekregen in de omliggende velden met mooie uitzichten!!!

I ragazzi che si occupano della struttura sono davvero simpatici e accoglienti. Ci hanno subito proposto un tour e ci siamo divertiti molto. Le camere sono molto belle, ti senti immerso nella giungla e nella natura, proprio quello che cercavamo.
