Portal Xibalba

It was not a normal hotel or resort, a great family stay in middle of nature. The staff are so kindly and available. We had a fantastic experience there. Highly recommended

Staff was very nice, clean and unique room.

I was "upgraded" to a 3rd floor room in the main house because the Cottage I reserved wasn't available. The room had screened openings near the ceiling, but was still insufferably hot and substantially warmer than the first floor. There was no natural air flow and no fans offered to move the air trapped upstairs. I left within 2 hours of arriving because the sweet old dog on the premises was barking incessantly directly under my room and I could not sleep despite my attempts to block the noise and accept the stagnant hot air. Wi-Fi was not available in the room, so I could only contact the host from the first floor office and wait for them to respond. I'm still working with the host to get a refund.

The place has potential, it is interestingly constracted inside beautiful jungle but lacks a few details for comfort of stay such as fun inside huts, gas in kitchen.

Place would benefit a lot from little bit more attention of the host

It’s like a magic place in the middle of a beautiful jungle. Has a couple of cenotes and several different settings to loose yourself in.

This was the perfect place for me to relax and recuperate before ending my trip to Mexico. You are truly part of the jungle here, only separated by natural buildings which are a work of art themselves. The hosts went above and beyond to welcome me, make sure I had everything I needed, and keep the space looking beautiful.

I liked everything about staying here. It is more isolated than one might suppose by looking its location near Playa del Carmen (a 20 min taxi ride, but it might take a few tries to find a taxi driver who wants to come out here). I came to be secluded in nature, so it was perfect!

So so peaceful and relaxing, away from the crowds, love the nature and surroundings and the fresh water cenotes to swim in nearby were so lovely and refreshing

We spent some days at Portal Xibalba and let me tell you it was one of the most beautiful experiences we had. The location is awesome. If you are looking for peace, this is the place. The food is delicious, and the people were extremely helpful. We even took part of a ceremony and it was such a beautiful energy they work with that even it was not in our plans, was one of the best choices we made.. We highly recommend the place and the activities they offer. Thank you so much lovely people. Namaste:)
