"Nice place but disappointed."

Next to the lake

We booked it because it had multiple jets where we intended to park our boat. Unfortunately they told us their policy had changed and only owners not renters could do that. I said I would pay and they told me it would be £600 for three days!! Kinda spoiled the stay for us.

Was an amazing experience at Hill of Oaks. Lovely, warm and friendly atmosphere, great views of the lake and the accommodation is beautiful and clean. Perfect getaway for family's, friends, and your loved ones. I would highly recommend staying here if you get the chances or looking to book somewhere in the windermere area. "We would stay here again"

The pod was clean they upgraded our view to a lake view which was lovely. The bed was comfortable and they was a few woodland trails. It’s only a seven minute drive into lake Winderemere town.

The hob takes a really long time to cook anything on as it doesn’t get very hot. Should maybe add an air fryer as the cooking facilities are quite sparse with the hob, toaster and microwave. The cafe and shop was unfortunately closed when we visited would have loved to see what that was like.

Clean and comfortable

No hot water for shower or dishes . Badly lit of a night on site . Campsite needs a bar or restaurant
