"Perfect location, lovely site"

Perfect location, lovely site, well maintained with a play area for the kids, amazing views right on the side of the lake.

The Oak lodge was smaller than we imagined, but was mainly used as a base to sleep as we explored the beautiful lakes. Two adults and 2 kids is about the limit.

Beautiful location overlooking the Lake, quiet and the accommodation was spotlessly clean and well presented. Everything exceeded my expectations. Had the place to myself and views were stunning.

Location

No WIFI (does not work and there was no signal in the area). If you run the tap for two minutes the hot water runs out very quickly- you do not have time for even a quick hot shower. Definitely zero time to wash your hair. If you want a warm room in the winter- don't expect the heater to warm it up- just get yourself under the quilt.

The cottage was excellent, sparkling clean, very quiet. Fully equipped for a family to enjoy their vacation. The welcome pack offered was a lifesaver to our late arrival. Comfortable beds and sofas. Hot water always available. Short walk to the lake. We enjoyed our relaxing evenings by the fire.

Wifi available but only suitable for basic browsing. Poor to no reception so make sure you download your entertainment in advance.

"Perfect location for exploring the southern lakes but wilfully lacking in connectivity."

Clean, warm and very comfortable. Its location and position were excellent.

Wi-Fi is an issue. Whilst 4G signals will vary between network suppliers, WiFi within the boundaries of the site is determined by router strength which did not penetrate the walls of “Silverholme”. This could be rectified by an individual supply and not blanket site coverage. Anyone like myself, relying on an internet connection, is severely debilitated by such a lack of service and will be influenced by this in terms of future bookings.
