"Loved it, period."

Fan-tas-tic location. While this was by far the most expensive stay on my entire trip the UK (at the most remote location for the smallest room!), I'd absolutely book again with Colin. The bed is extremely comfy, the pod is super cosy and offers all you need for a couple of days. This is the place for fond memories, not the run-of-the-mill all-inclusive hotel that also shows up in your search results. Penicuik (for general shopping) is just five miles away, Edinburgh Castle is a 15 mile trip, and nature is right at the door step. The host is actively developing the area and offers a tour of the premises upon request. Aside from the double bed, a sofa is offered, which might be okay for a child, but for teenagers or adults you might want to book another pod. No breakfast offered, self-checkin possible if needed, relatively early checkout. Car charging possible for one patron (ask beforehand). Not suitable for wheelchair users and the gravel pathways around the pods might be difficult for prams as well.

Only thing to grumble about is the varnish smell that should fade away over the next couple of months (the pods are pretty new). The VOC sensor of my phone did not raise an alarm, but it's still noticeable when entering - just leave the door open for a moment. Other than that, the stay was impeccable.

The eco pod was beautifully designed and the bed SO comfortable. Really impressed with the facilities. Very peaceful and quiet.

Maybe better signage to the eco pods from the road as we got a bit lost around the care home area! Maybe a little bit more information about where we could walk as we thought much of the land was probably private?

"Excellent place to be. Strongly recommended."

Nice and peacefull place close to the nature. These days that's all what you need. No mobile reception was a bonus. Finally we slowed down and relaxed in the nice place. We recommend to everyone who would like to be close to the nature.
