The vibe in the hostel is incredible, people are super friendly

Near to the beach and everything. An apartment on ground floor turned into a hostel, 7 beds in a room is a little cramped. Kitchen with big fridge is available onsite. The owner Wallace gives clear instruction/house rules so everyone stays comfortably. The toilet is constantly cleaned. Shower has strong water. There lives 2 cute pet dogs.

Strict checkout time.

Host is very helpful. Location is pretty good.

Unable to leave bags in storage on day of checkout, which I found very inconvenient

The house is very well kept. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The entrance and exit are a bit complicated.

Location is ideal very near to Copacabana beach and a 10 minute walk to the subway into the city centre. The manager and crew keep the place reasonably clean. There is a locker for securing valuables.

This is a mixed purpose hostel/rooming house where there are people living there more or less permanently therefore hostel guests may feel somewhat out of place. The dorm room is very small and somewhat cramped. Getting in and out of the apartment is extremely troublesome since there is no key provided nor a code for the door. Guests have to rely on an intercom system where someone must always answer the door and buzz you in. When arriving I had to wait about an hour in front of the building for someone to turn up and let me up. Upon leaving early in the morning I was very nearly stuck between the front door and the apartment door since there is a key for the front door and the apartment door locked behind me (thankfully someone woke up when I urgently knocked for help).
