Homestay at Julie's

It was passable for the money but nothing stood out.

If you read the previous negative comments about this place, you will soon realise that they are all true. My reccomendation is that if you want independence and a bug free place then spend that little bit more and look for a cheap hotel preferably closer to the town centre.

Julie was incredibly welcoming and went out of her way to help me feel at home. I had a very quiet and comfortable room where I could rest to prepare for the marathon I ran during the stay - and then recover afterwards! Definitely recommend.

Property was clean easily accessible

Julie is a excellent host, thé appartement is very clean and has everything you need. Location is excellent close to city and in quite area. I highly recomand this place

Julie made her place as a real heaven with her two adorable cat sisters Abbey and Daisey in the heart of Cairns .The full equiped studio was extraordinary and i really had that feeling to be at home . In one word : Magic ! If you want a real Tropical Australian place where to stay don't hesitate !

This was an excellent choice for a solo traveller. The host made it easy for me to prepare well for this holiday, when I asked for advice in advance, and then ensured that I found it easy to achieve all my goals while I stayed because her recommendations were spot on. I loved the house and its position close to Cairns city centre and the friendliness I experienced here from other household members as well as the host.

I liked that it had what I needed.

It wasn't the room that was in the photos I had from Booking.com or the description e.g. no open plan bathtub, I had a shower only. But it worked out ok for me. It wasn't as sound proof as it could be, maybe add some padding to the door leading to the other room next door to help reduce disturbing other guests.

Julie is amazing . She made a real heaven in the heart of Cairns with her two adorable girls cats Abbey and Daisey . Her house is a peaceful , comfy and perfect spot you ll enjoy with all the facilities expected to discover the city and its incredible nature .

It was a nice and cozy place with an own entrance. I enjoyed my stay and Julie was really friendly. I would stay again!

The location doesn't count as Cairns central. So if you book some tours, they don't necessarily pick you up from the accommodation. But the walk to the Central Station as pick up point is just 20 minutes.
