I planned 2 days away, just me (no family, no friends) to recharge my batteries. Planned to do a fantastic walk in St Abb's Head - I was not lucky at all with the weather as it was raining and very misty but still the scenario was quite fascinating. Followed by some time, to be dedicated to work peacefully for a project during late afternoon/evening in a place that I thought it was perfect for this purpose. The Law House 'looks' very beautiful (from outside), in the middle of lots of green and horses. William was very welcoming, kind and considerate.

William informed me straight away that the WiFi was not working in the room for some reason, and this put me off as I had to take all my staff and go to the kitchen passing through the garden (but I said... 'OK'). The main problem: room offered was very dirty. Unfortunately the door of the room opens directly into the garden and there are not windows in the room. Possibly due to the raining day the smell of damp was VERY strong (well, maybe some expedient should be put in place! Rain or not rain); kept the door slightly opened for about 20mins with the hope to move a bit the air - unsuccessfully. Room is very small but that was known and just fine for my plan as I was alone. Got my stuff (mainly computer and books and some food) laid on the floor, a bit struggling as the space is very limited. I was freezing cold due to the wet cloths and quickly jumped into the shower after REMOVING THE CONTAC LENSES. Big mistake. Glasses on and I started noticing HOW INCREDIBLY DIRTY WAS THE ROOM. Checked the bedsheet: very hard and smelly (damp smell) (as well as the towel, which I only removed from the hook and quickly put it back as VERY HARD (??) and used mine- luckily planned to take one small with me!) The bedsheet was plenty of very small round, sticky seeds(?)or I do not know what? and some hair. Please see pics. Bathroom: please see pics. FLOOR (hair all over): please, see pics. Unfortunately I could not upload the video I took but I think it is enough to make you have an idea. Got very frustrated. Took my staff, left the room, informed William, who has been very supportive and kindly offered another room inside the house but I refused as it has a shared bathroom. Driving back home Suzanne called me querying why I complained. She did NOT accept my reasons. I sent her the video I took and although that, IN FRONT OF THE EVIDENCE, she did NOT acknowledge.

I booked a room for my mum as she was visiting the area, and she loved everything about her stay here. She particularly liked the owners who she said were welcoming and friendly.

The owners are lovely. Beautiful building. The accommodation was very well looked after.

Beautiful old property loved the animals. The hosts were so lovely, friendly & helpful. Will be back again. Convenient location stunning area to explore

Schönes historisches Gebäude, nicht weit vom Meer entfernt. Man teilt sich das Badezimmer mit den Gästen, was kein Problem war. Die Küche darf man mit benutzen, was praktisch war, da wir auf der Durchreise waren und so noch die Möglichkeit zum Frühstücken hatten. Die Besitzer sind sehr hilfsbereit und bemüht, dass man sich wohlfühlt. Im Garten, den man mitbenutzen darf, gibt es Sitzmöglichkeiten.
