One small positive: guests get a 50% discount at the gym next door, which we gratefully used—mainly for the showers, since the ones in the hotel were unusable. Although, this also means loud techno music and work out classes can be heard from 8am onwards.

I genuinely don’t understand how this place is still operating. It should be closed down for a full refurbishment. The photos online are wildly misleading—clearly taken over a decade ago and bear no resemblance to the current state of decay. The air conditioning barely works and emits a foul, musty odor. I complained, and to his credit, the owner cleaned it immediately—but the stench persisted and actually triggered respiratory issues. It’s not just unpleasant—it’s unhealthy. The walls are filthy and peeling, and the metal fixtures are rusted to the point of crumbling (see photos). The shower pressure is laughable—more of a sad trickle than a stream. Washing your hair is simply not an option. Mosquitoes are everywhere. They provide nets, but Bug spray is an absolute must. The pool area is a joke. It’s situated next to a well of stagnant, foul-smelling water that makes relaxing outside unbearable (see photos). The stench is overpowering. The steps in the pool have crumbled away, leaving your bare feet and legs exposed to sharp, jagged edges of tile. Privacy is nonexistent. You can hear every sound from the neighbouring rooms—showers, toilets, conversations—thanks to the bizarre open bathroom design. It’s intrusive and deeply uncomfortable. Due to all of the above, we didn’t even bother trying the free breakfast. Frankly, we couldn’t stomach the idea. I also wouldn’t recommend this place to any solo female travelers—it’s a 20-minute walk down a dark, isolated road, which felt unsafe even in a group. In short, this place is a health hazard disguised as a budget stay. Spend your money elsewhere.

Lo tuvimos que coger de urgencia el mismo día y no nos arrepentimos, cumplió las expectativas. El desayuno es rico y variado y el personal está en todo momento a tu disposición. Cama muy cómoda y con mosquitera. Baño amplio y cómodo. La ubicación es buena aunque la zona es un poco oscura por la noche.

Die Lage war okay. Die Helfer von Sammy haben ihr bestes gegeben. Man kann einen Scooter für 70k/ Tag leihen und kann unkompliziert Transporte organisieren lassen.

Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist nicht so fair. Man kann in der Region sehr viel besonderere Unterkünfte buchen zu besseren Preisen. Kommunikation war manchmal schwierig.

Die Lage war gut.

Es war leider sehr runtergekommen. Im Bad war eine Kakerlake. (Das Bad ist aber auch nur halb-bedacht) Das Personal war an sich freundlich, aber als wir Bescheid geben wollten, dass wir wegfahren, aber vor 11 Uhr wieder zurück sein werden für den Check-Out wurde komisch darüber diskutiert, ob wir nicht um 9 schon wieder da sein könnten, damit das Zimmer sauber gemacht werden kann. Die andere Kollegin hingegen war ganz nett. :-) Für eine Nacht war es komplett ausreichend (vorallem mit AC) aber wohl haben wir uns irgendwie nicht gefühlt!

Very kind and helpful staff. Sammy rented us a bike for very cheap and organised our transport back to bangsal harbour. Free breakfast was a lovely touch, which is served to your room if preferred. Very central location.
