Darjeeling Heights - A Boutique Mountain View Homestay

Did not like anything except for the fact that the food was good.

Big mismatch with what was shown during booking and how the rooms actually are. The host kept us in a separate building beside the main homestay and was finding reasons for us not to enter the main site. Very dodgy , be careful while booking. Overrated for the price paid

Beautiful view from the room. Very cozy atmosphere. Helpful staff. If you can take the walk from the Mall or if you are looking for the calm of the location.. then it is one of the best choices available at the price range.

The staff was friendly, cooperative, and approachable. The WIFI was good and on the food menu, chicken kosha was really tasty in the chicken thali menu.

Regular cleaning can make the place even much better.A little more professionalism probably would make things better. The location is a bit far and not easy to commute to (especially at night due to road conditions) the main attraction of Darjeeling and commuting every time via taxi can be a little costly.

The host was super helpful and very polite and kind. Beds had an electric warmer blanket and that was the best part. Sleeping in cold weather was so comfortable because of this. Hot water in geyser also would be heater very fast and would still come out very hot even in such cold weather.

very clean, well maintained, very cordial host as well as the staffs. the property has taxi service of their own at a reasonable cost.

no facility of tea/coffee preparation in the room. I think it is required, otherwise it is very difficult to order repeatedly and waiting.

This is such a cute place! The service was amazing...they brought me tea and breakfast every morning and dinner is available too. Remember...you are in the Himalaya..so it gets cold at night (even for a canadian) but there was a heating pad for the bed! And also remember darjeeling is built on a mountain slope so everywhere you walk is very uphill or downhill. If you are doing a lot of shopping...take a taxi back to the guesthouse. The driver (Reuben) was so lovely. He drove me to and from the airport and we sang along to John Denver. He even checked up on me to make sure I had reached my next destination. He is available for all your driving needs from the guesthouse. This is a guesthouse in the Himalaya...its not fancy but it works and the staff are soo helpful and friendly. Don't expect 24 hr a day power or hot water or wifi. Go with the flow and enjoy!
