Its a little bit too high up

The staff was friendly, however, slow to respond to issues and had an indifferent attitude.

The room was not cleaned properly. Trash from previous guests was still in the bins, broken furniture, and no remote in the room. When the remote was asked, the staff said that the TV was not working. When the issues were raised, staff gave vague excuses and demonstrated an indifferent attitude. Finally, TV was connected late in the night after much deliberation. There was nothing wrong with the TV technically. They had to connect only a set top box. The bathroom was dirty with mildew all over the walls, leftover soap from previous guests, and the comode was not cleaned. Urine marks on the rims. Bedlinen had stains and hair from previous guests. Felt cheated, paying almost 4000 Rs for one night, reading the reviews that did not match the ground reality.

The stay at Darjeeling Heights Homestay was wonderful and so was the view from the hotel. The most amazing thing was the behavior of the staff there. They were very welcoming and nice. We really enjoyed our stay there and the staff really made it very homely. The spacious property is very tastefully decorated which made the ambience warm and cozy. And last but not least, the cooking was very delicious.

The washrooms didn’t have any exhaust and the washrooms were not very clean.

View from the room was just amazing, can see Kanchengjunga if good weather.the Staff (especially Bikash) went beyond our expectations and took good care of us. The bed comes with heater which was a God send during winter.

The location was a bit far from the Mall Road and up hill. But the staff will arrange for taxi for you.
