Rose Dale Guest Inn Ella

Such a lovely place to stay! The hosts were very friendly, and you are surrounded by nature. We really appreciated that it was in the shade, providing nice, refreshing air after a hot hike. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and we even got a fresh coconut straight from the tree—amazing! They also took care of our laundry and returned it nicely folded, which was a wonderful touch.

A Magical Stay in Ella Our time in Ella felt like stepping into a dream. We stayed at a beautiful, mystical guesthouse nestled right by the railway tracks. Getting there was an adventure in itself—a short walk along the tracks led us straight to this hidden gem. The two hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the start. Everything about our stay was perfect, from the cozy atmosphere to the peaceful surroundings. Despite feeling wonderfully secluded, the guesthouse is only a 15-minute walk from the town center, and if needed, a tuk-tuk can drop you off almost at the doorstep. If you’re looking for a place in Ella that combines charm, warmth, and a touch of adventure, this is it! Thank you ♥️

Everything was nice …hospitality owners , cozy and clean room with view terrace, location is great , breakfast was delicious. It’s was very pleaser for us to get a pot of tea when we arrived. Thank you so much for making staying comfortable. Will recommend your place for sure

The owners were the kindest people we’ve met in Sri Lanka. They had a serenity to them that matched the area. We wish we had booked more nights at Rose Dale, as it was the highlight of our time in Sri Lanka. Don’t hesitate to book here!

Hôte très accueillant. Chambre propre et lits confortables. Très calme. Petit déjeuner maison excellent sur terrasse avec vue magnifique.

L'accès est très compliqué. Impossible avec notre véhicule car très pentu et voie étroite. Nécessité d'un tuk tuk puis une cinquantaine de mètres à pied pour traverser la voie ferrée.

We traveled as a group of five and were very impressed with the spacious rooms, charming terrace, and delicious breakfast. Our three-night stay was made even more enjoyable by the warm and welcoming service. The host also provided us with valuable travel tips for getting around Ella, which we found incredibly helpful. We will definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit to Ella.

Die Unterkunft ist super schön mitten in den Bergen um Ella gelegen, von der Terasse hat man einen tollen Ausblick. In die Stadt kommt man ganz gemütlich über die Bahngleise in ca 15 min. Die Gastfamilie ist unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend und hat uns auch mit der Organisation unserer Weiterreise geholfen. Jeden Morgen gibt es ein super leckeres und großes Frühstück, für uns bisher das beste in Sri Lanka! Heißes Wasser ist durchgehend verfügbar und für die kühleren Nächte gibt es gefütterte Decken.

The family who manages the homestay is very kind and sweet. Every morning, they serve you a delicious and generous breakfast (different each day) The location is a bit outside Ella, which makes it very quiet and relaxing. The room is spacious and fresh, with a nice hot shower.
