Badnor House - The Heritage Homestay

Stepping out of the chaos and noise of India into an oasis of calm. The garden rests the soul. The layout of the garden and the rooms is to be admired. The attention to detail in the fittings and fixtures, most especially the bathroom were high end design. For once it was a pleasure to shower without wetting the whole room!. The breakfast was balanced and suited to our requests. There was even fruit supplied which again is in short supply elsewhere, despite it growing everywhere. Staff were unobtrusive but always available. Kishan seemed to somehow glide through his duties almost floating on air! Lovely big room with period furniture and modern bathroom. Delightful peaceful garden with birdsong and friendly golden retriever. A gem of outstanding value. Easy walk to the main sights. Charming staff and very helpful owner. Nice breakfast on the verandah.

I wanted an authentic homestay (not a hotel). Badnor House met the requirements. 1. Kind & caring host - Mr Sanjay. . Willing to help, share his knowledge and suggest pragmatic sightseeing. 2. Nice staff. 3. Clean and well equipped room. 4. Environmentally friendly - solar heated water. 5. Small garden to sit and relax. 6. Good location and still so quiet.

Liked everything. Guests must note that this is truly an authentic Homestay - not a Guest House or Hotel. So please don't be unreasonable, do read about the facilities/services and then decide. For those travellers who enjoy homestays - go for it.

Nice property in the middle of Ajmer, near Bus and Train station. Breakfast was good. The vibe was pleasant.

Wonderful haven in the middle of the city! Badnor House has a very beautiful garden. The room is very well equipped and has beautiful furniture and decorations. Everything is extremely clean, from the bedroom to the entire property, which is very well maintained as if it had been restructured just a few months ago. The owner is very nice and kindly provided advices about the city. The breakfast too was amazing -fresh, tasty and generous. The amount we spent is very reasonable as per the quality of the service. This property truly felt like a gem. We stayed one night and left regretting we didn’t spend the entire week!

The owner, Mr Sanjay is one of the best hosts we have ever encountered. He gave us a lot of tips and information about Ajmer, Pushkar and other places we wanted to visit. He was checking on us, regarding our trip even after we left his hotel. We highly recommend his hotel. You will feel like home. Also, the hotel has all the commodities and facilities you could have and as a plus, you are a bit away from the main road and his place is so peaceful you will plan to stay longer. If you are in Ajmer, this is the place to stay. You will thank me and Mr Sanjay trust me!
