Badnor House - The Heritage Homestay

What can I say? It’s been a long time, since I spent such a pleasant stay. Sanjay is a friendly, polite and knowledgeable host. The homestay is an oasis with a beautiful garden. The rooms are impeccable. Not only clean, but decorated with thoughtful nuances. And practical. E.g. a nightlight (can be switched off) to guide you to the bathroom at night. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. If you ever come to Ajmer, this is the place!

Beautiful house with a lovely garden. Rooms are spacious and very clean, and kept beautifully. Sanjay is an excellent host - friendly and extremely helpful. We ate dinner at the homestay which was delicious. Location is very good, close to railway station and to central Ajmer but without being noisy - a little oasis of calm!

The house and garden was very peaceful and a lovely place to stay. Sanjay was so helpful, even before we arrived, and gave us lots of tips during our short stay. We also had the breakfast, which was very nice. The location of the home was convenient, only a short walk or tuctuc ride to the lake and the bus station. This was a perfect place to rest and use as a base to explore both Ajmer and Pushkar.

The option for food was limited. It would be helpful if guest have the options to have all meals in the property. Being a home stay, it can be a challenge but would prefer to have the option to pre-book lunch or dinner too.

What to say, probably the best place I've visited during my weeks of roaming India. A hidden gem. I should say that we didn't see too much of Ajmer due to it being a late arrival and semi-early leaving, so the location is a bit hard to assess (but about 10 min walking to the lake. In terms of hospitality, how the heritage house has developed to create an oasis, cleanliness, communication, service, I can't give anything but the highest grade for all of it. If you are in Ajmer I highly recommend a few nights at this marvellous place.
