The Ferreiras

This is a delightful, picturesque property and location. The staff was lovely and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and at home - offering lemon soda when we returned from exploring hot and sweaty, coffee and chai when we woke up in the morning. Pandu and Jaban (sp?!) made this place extra special. Be sure to have a meal prepared by Jaban - he’s an excellent cook!! The room had an adequate AC unit (it doesn’t get very cold, but we’re not big on AC so it was enough to cool the room before we turned it off and went to bed with the fan on) and period furniture. We loved that it was a family home and enjoyed meeting James, the owner. He has a lovely boutique upstairs that I wish we’d discovered earlier! Overall this was an oasis from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai - we highly recommend it.

Amazing homestay and hospitality by the Ferreiras!!! I was sceptical in booking it, but took my chances and wasn't disappointed. The home owner and support staff are just amazing people. Would highly recommend and love to return again here.

The room was a bit small, won't be an issue if you're traveling solo. But, the location and proximity to south Bombay attractions make this homestay value for money.

Very nice hosting: very helpful staff and warm welcome. Nice room in a beautiful neighbourhood.

Pandu was an excellent helper and host to us for our stay in Mumbai. We never expected to feel so welcomed and comfortable. I was unwell and spent most of one of the days in bed (a cold I. Roughy from London) and Pandu offered to run to get whatever I could needed. The feel of the place is authentic, living history and homely. I can’t imagine a better stay in mumbai
