This is a photographers paradise! The house is more than 2 hundred years old and is decorated with all sorts of vintage pieces. The staff is great and make excellent breakfast.

Because it is an old house there isn’t much comfort. That being said I had one of the best nights of sleep I got in a long time

I really enjoyed my stay at Nainshal Siwa. We stayed 6 nights in early April. The rooms are traditional and rustic. There is a sense of calm and privacy mixed with the feeling that you're sharing a large traditional family home. Occasional short wait for a bathroom. The bed was comfy. There are a lot of shared spaces where you can sit at night, and the views of Shali fortress from the large roof terrace are magical. It was a quiet location (apart from the call to prayer, but that is everywhere) and just a few minutes walk to the busy centre for restaurants etc. (I highly recommend Kosheri Karim, amazingly tasty food). Mr Hial cooks a great breakfast. It was very tasty and filling (falafel, omelette, cheese, beans, tomatoes and cucumber, bread, coffee, water). Mr Hilal and all the guys were so helpful, spoke good english and gave good advice. We went on a brilliant desert safari they organised for us. They kindly picked us up from the minibus station when we arrived. I'd highly recommend staying here.

It’s a really nice place where you could experience the traditional Siwa house. And it’s really close to fortress where you could go to see the sunrise and sunset in 5 mins walking. The stuff Mohamed Sulinan is really friendly and talkative, and gave a lot of useful information to me. Also he shared his artwork of Chinese characters with me, which is done with great care! I strongly recommend this place!
