The place is out of this world... literally and in the most positive way. I was looking for tranquility, and that's what I found. Moving back in time to the epoch long gone...

Mohammed the manager of the property speaks fluent English and able to support so much information about Siwa. Also, his breakfast was absolutely great to have in the morning. He recommended his friend Ibrahim as our tuk tuk driver for my 2 days stay. Price was decent and Ibrahim is fun & friendly. The property location is in the town, so moving around for food and Shanli Fortress is just stone thrown distance. If you would like to experience Berber house stay, you may consider this.

Low water pressure

The architecture of the building is stunning, the room is spacious, and the bed is exceptionally comfortable. Every member of the hotel staff is warm and hospitable, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere throughout the stay.

I was unable to lock my room. While I felt the hotel was secure, as a solo female traveler, I would have appreciated having a small locker by my door for added security of my belongings and myself at night. I am unsure if this was an issue in all rooms or if it was specific to my room.

There was a dog up barking for hours during the night, quite a nice tone to his bark.!!! Other then that was great.!

From the moment we arrived in the early hours from a night bus Mohamed made us feel welcome and at home. He deserves 10/10 for how accommodating and helpful he was. The room was tastefully decorated and the shared bathrooms were clean.

The room was a little chilly (it was February) so a duvet might be a nice addition to the beds for the winter months! Also we were aware of this but just note that towels are not provided so remember to bring your own 😊

Very friendly staff. The breakfast was amazing. I liked the sweet honey and hummus. The sunrise from the roof top was majestic. I enjoyed staying in this traditional Siwan home.
