Chez l'habitant (Ba Omar)

This is a beautiful place quietly located a couple blocks from the main square. I really enjoyed watching the sunrise and enjoying a delightful breakfast from the rooftop balcony. This place radiates a warm and welcoming appeal and I found the bed very comfortable. Although I don't speak French or Darija, we were able to communicate effectively (partly with a translation app) and he was extremely hospitable and accommodating. I also found the area very nice to explore on foot and met many very friendly people around the city.

Ba Omar is like a grandpa welcoming you to his home. The place felt like a family rather than a hotel. Quiet location off the main street but close enough to everything in Zagora. Clean rooms. Great value! (I wish I know the local language (French/Arabic) better to connect and learn more about this general host.)

I didn't appreciate being harassed by repeated knocks on my room door, and even the toilet door! to arrange some sort of tourist tour! Like a child persistently pestering their parent. No, means no!!!! The first time.... I also really didn't like being told by the host that I should give his accommodation a 10 rating! :-(

Mr. Omar, the proprietor, went out of his way to ensure a comfortable stay. Despite not speaking a common language, we were able to communicate, although the interactions would've been a lot more fulfilling if we did.

Finding the place was a little challenging, as the map location takes you to a school right next to the place.

Omar, the host, was super kind.

The shared bathroom was not super clean.
