Chez l'habitant (Ba Omar)

Omar is a wonderful human being and we were so happy to stay with him. His way of making you feel welcome and at home is outstanding. It’s a very peaceful place — perfect to rest and spent time with friends. He is absolutely dedicated to make you feel comfortable and will help you with pleasure. When we arrived in the middle of the night, he was waiting with a car at the bus stop to take us to the hostel.. thank you so much for everything, see you next time Omar. Merci beaucoup !

... It's been a lovely stay here at Chez Habitant, especially for having the place to myself.  My room, 2 big lounge spaces, and an upper terrace. Omar, the host is amazingly attentive... A great breakfast arrives shortly after I am first stirring, and he is very kind to have taken me to the morning souk on the first day, and to the bus as I depart.  Sometimes his attention is a bit overly so, where he is regularly concerned that I leave my door unlocked when I go up to the terrace, even though it is only him and I who are around... but all with good intention 😊  .. location is a bit isolated if one is walking, but anything closer to the center of things has a lot more traffic, so overall I appreciate the peaceful , well cared for setting.  Clean, comfortable, and quiet.

Not a complaint, but if you are English speaking, it is helpful to have a translate app on hand, for conversations with dear Omar.  😉 ... Although it said 'all taxes included' with my booking.com prepayment,, for some reason there was another 4Euro tax to pay, and dear Omar would not issue a receipt.  😐

Very nice gust house near to the city center. We could choose the room and there is a terrace to stay in the evening. Monsieur Omar very kind and helpfull. I have parked the motorbike in front of the house...there is a little patio. perfect

There is not a big label at the entrance...just a little one.

The hostel is very comfortable and the rooms are perfect for this kind of stay. The breakfast is very nice and Omar takes really care of you!

Omar was lovely and really accommodating. The property, space and facilities are amazing and you can really see the beautiful little paradise being created here.

Unfortunately we arrived during a huge rain storm. The cob Kasbah type properties struggle in that weather and are somewhat cold and damp/leaky. This weather is rare though, especially as intense and prolonged as this storm, so it isn't the fault of Omar and the hosts at all! They were lovely and accommodating and did all they could to help - but perhaps for that weather this wouldn't be the best choice if you need comfort. I'd love to return in fairer weather with a big group of friends to really experience the place in the way it deserves because I am sure it would be heaven.

what a beautiful place to stay, the family sent one of its staff to pick us up from the bus station with out even asking, probably the best value stay I’ve had in Morocco.

The location was really good and already two streets more far people could tell us where to find the hostel. The breakfast was really good and enough. The room and the bathroom was clean, we had hot water and the wifi worked goo overall (In the beginning there were some problems but Omar solved it really quickly.)

The hostel is good when you go to sleep between 9 and 10. In the evening we went up to the roof terrace (really nice to chill) but omar came three times to tell us we should be quite and to switch of the light afterwards. Our friends went down at one time and he told them again we should be quite. We were literally just talking and it was between 10pm -11pm. Additional we booked a room with two single beds and one big double bed. In the end we had 3 single bed and he put a matrace inside. This wouldnt be a problem at all. But we carried two of the single beds together in the night (That needed overall 1min). 2 min later he came up and knocked at our room complaining we should sleep otherwise we have to go. Apart from that omar was nice
