"Comfy and good breakfast but lacked warmth in welcome or appreciation in us choosing it"

6.0

Location was very convenient for walking Offa’s Dyke Path and with facilities within walking distance. Breakfast was enjoyable with a good variety of continental breakfast options to make it suitably interesting and healthy

We did not see any literature in advance that stated there was a cut off for check-in of 2000. Yet when we arrived at 2030 we were basically told off and made to feel rather belittled for being “late”… it really lacked a welcoming start to the stay. 2030 isn’t exactly late or antisocial!

Rooms are spacious with comfy beds, settees, desks, flatscreens, streaming (Netflix/Sky), mini-fridge, tea/coffee, etc. . • En‑suite bathrooms, bottled water, and tea-making convenience—though some guests found the electric boiler setup a bit finicky

"Great location on Offas Dyke"

8.0

Great location on a hill just outside Llanymynech, right on the Offas Dyke walking trail. Very spacious room. Good buffet style breakfast with cold cuts, cheese, etc, a nice change from the full English breakfast at most other places.

Smallest en suite I've ever seen, a bit cramped and shabby. Hardly saw the proprietors, felt like they were too busy to connect with their guests, which may or may not be accurate. I would still recommend it as a place to stay.

"Excellent"

8.0

A very informal AirBNB in enormous family home. Hosts were very friendly, informal and keen to help. Full Breakfast was fabulous - I haven't seen a Hostess Trolley since 1983 and the croissant and granola yoghurt were lovely! Bed was very cosy and view from window stunning. Short walk or drive up to the rocks. On the negative side, en suite shower/loo/sink is very small and some of its finishes could be quite a bit better. Renovation is obviously still a work in progress, especially outside. Driveway is steep and very bumpy near the gate. Overall a pleasant and relaxing one night stopover, but would perhaps expect a higher quality finish for the asking price.
