Dan's House

Dan's House was comfortable and perfect for my overnight start in Manchester. It is situated close to the centre, easily walkable. The bed was very comfortable and Dan is a great host.

Close enough to city centre and Old Trafford to walk to both. Great host, very friendly and helpful. Very clean and nice room.

My experience was very bad. It was a scam.

There was no lock in the guest room. But his room had a big lock outside. I repeatedly requested to put a lock on my door as I have already paid for 2 days and I was a solo female traveler. He kept saying why don’t I believe him. But when I asked about the lock in his room he said, it’s because he is the owner. Super rude and unprofessional 😡. There is only 2 rooms like in an attic and one room for him and the other one is for rent. If there were other people it was understandable!! I left the place within 5 minutes!! Even when normal guests arrive in my home we try to make them comfortable as much as possible. And if I am renting that should be our priority, right? He kept saying it will damage his door panel. And he was expecting a female to stay in a room without a lock in the door beside his room. It is a scam. Please be careful. I am going to complain big time to booking.com.

Very welcoming, clean and total privacy despite sharing the apartment with Dan. Great location just 5 mins to metro and bus stop. Food places closeby. Just 1 station away from Deansgate or 18 minutes walk. Cat lives downstairs and your room is upstairs. Total privacy, clean and will definitely stay here again.

No lift so it may be a bit troublesome if you have heavy suitcases. Stairs to second level of the building, and then to the second floor of the apartment to your room.

Very friendly guy he was lovely overall. Bed was very comfortable. House was very clean. Complimentary prosecco in the mini fridge was a pleasant suprise and the sweets too. Nice little guide book with helpful information in and WiFi info. We had a lovely stay and would book again! It was very close to the city centre and Danny booked us a taxi to get to our event on time. Cute cat sadly we didn't get to stroke him/her. Beautiful mural on the wall too.

No mirror in the bedroom so we had to do our makeup and hair in the bathroom mirror. No bin in the bathroom so we had to put rubbish in the bedroom bin.

Beautiful room, great bathroom, super nice host. Close to tram station, fairly easy to find the place. The shower was superb! Dan is a great host, very friendly and helpful, willing to chat but never intrusive. Perfect spot!

Everything was too perfect, it'll be hard for other places to compare ;)

Very comfy bed and pillows. Everything I needed in the room: tea, coffee, hair dryer, towels, robes, even some treats and drinks in the fridge. Easy access to the property with both key fobs. It felt very private even with a shared bathroom we didn't cross paths and the bathroom is directly next to the room.

The only thing I would have liked is a small lamp in the room so I could have switched off the bright main light in the evening when I needed to relax.
