Cosy City Centre Guest Room Shared Home

Very nice and reactive host Central location

The host was super friendly and flexible with dropping off bags before check-in and allowing us to leave them after checking out but before our flight. Room was very clean as was the bathroom and overall house.

Location was a 10 min walk from Eyre Square and downtown Galway so after a long day of walking, guests may be super tired. It was still very close and nice though.

It was close to the centre so very accessible.

Since it’s a shared living space I expected an introduction, but instead the online communication stopped once we checked in (via lockbox) and then we only heard the other person walking in the evening/morning, but didn’t talk which made the experience pretty uncomfortable. Also the bedroom had a weird smell, wasn’t dirty but wasn’t very comfortable. The bathroom facilities weren’t great either. Little disappointing for the money we spent.

Chatting with the hosts before we arrived gave us all the information we could possibly need so finding the place was really easy. It's a short walk from Eyre Square, so the centre of town, all the touristy stuff and the major travel links are all close by. The house itself is lovely, quiet neighbourhood, good facilities and a very comfortable room with plenty of privacy given you're in someone's house. Would recommend to anyone staying Galway.
