Saptami Hampi Homestay

Whilst this homestay is a little out of town, it's easy enough to get to and from the main sites via rickshaw/auto or your own bike. The place is surrounded by amazing greenery and wildlife - seeing monkeys swinging from the trees was a highlight. Everything about my stay was as described online. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very nice and functional. It has all the basic things - plus some outdoor seating. The host and her family were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The indian breakfast was also fantastic! They kindly provided laundry service and arranged for pick up/drop off transportation. I had a late night bus out of Hampi and the hosts gave me a room to rest for a few hours even after I'd checked out at 9.30am. A side note: my only advice is that you walk a few minutes to the main road to hail a rickshaw/auto as it will be cheaper than being picked up at the homestay.

Love the overall homestay, the balconies, watching the monkeys in the trees. The coffee was also AMAZING. Best coffee I had in a homestay. And the Indian breakfast was very high quality. The rooms are large and spacious. The staff is great, everyone was so friendly and accommodating. You'll get a designated tuk tuk driver to take you everywhere. Beware though that you are around 45 min to an hour away from the other side of the river, which is beautiful. This homestay is closer to the temples though.

When I first arrived my room didn't have a balcony was meant for a family, not a solo travel. I was pretty sad at first, but then relieved to find out I was going to a different room the following day that had a balcony and just one bed so I would ensure that if you get a room, make sure it has a balcony which will really improve your overall stay. Also the "mother" who seems to be in charge of everything is very friendly, but also a bit assertive and hard to communicate with which felt a bit unwelcoming at first but then she warmed up to me after a few days.

It’s a homestay in Hampi to facilitate your exploration. You get what you get with a homestay. The room was fine, sitting area outside was good. Excellent breakfast. Extremely helpful host, she even organised a last minute affordable taxi to Goa. Very happy there. You will need a rickshaw or car to get around Hampi.
