MEPA HOMESTAY

Mepa Homestay is amazing place if you planning to stay in nature and also planning to do Double decker root bridge. Its some 400 steps inside the forest so it will be great way to start your track . If I had more time I would have stayed there for few more nights as the feeling of this place was amazing . and its in middle of rain forest. Amazing

Decent location, just off the trail. But you I recommend staying somewhere before the trail starts - otherwise you'd have to go up and down the trail with luggage.

Everything else was terrible. It's a dirty, uncomfortable place, I can't believe someone is other reviews found it ok. No one was there when I arrived to drop of the bags, I called, they said - leave inside and I left for a hike. Coming back exhausted no one was there again to let me into the room, I've waited for hours! On the checking they said the price was three times more than the price on my booking. And I had to wait to sort it out again. Bed is insane uncomfortable and very dirty. Covered with some little poop-looking things, I've added a photo. There is no mountain view, there are barely any windows. Only one power plug, so pick between fan / no mosquitos / charging. Also keep in mind - there is no wifi and my airtel sim didn't work there.

We stayed 4 AMAZING days in this place. Best cooker ever, thank you grand-ma' for your delicious food and lovely smile. We were warming welcomed by this family. The environment is crazy, you sleep deeply in the jungle with all sounds of birds, firefly all night long. You sleep fully in the nature, in little hutte and even if toilet and shower are outside, it's so clean everyday, refill with soap and paper, you enjoy a wild shower with good water, it's so nice. We wish we could stay more ! Landscapes are crazy. Go without any doubt you will experiment a full nature experience. Thank you very much !

I liked the location to be a perfect spot and the hospitality was amazing , totally a nature based stay . The house built was totally organic without even using a nail .

The quantity of the food is very poorley organised although the taste is really good .
