The space is very beautiful, thoughtfully decorated, and well set up for travellers. It's very relaxing and peaceful. The staff are very helpful. The filtered water and other free amenities were a nice touch (like noodles). The mat on the floor was surprisingly comfortable! I would definitely stay here again for the atmosphere alone.

Breakfast is traditional Hue cakes and sometimes fruit - fruit was only offered once during my stay but would have been appreciated every morning. Everything you want to do or see in Hue is at least 40 minutes walking distance away, however Grab bikes are cheap so that's not a problem if you are happy to use those.

A-Maze House was perfect for exploring the amazing historical city of Hue on foot. I chose a basic standard room, which was in the attic area up a few wooden steps. My small room had a comforatble mattress on the floor, a locking sliding door, three quarter height wall, a little window and was great value for the money paid. The staff were friendly and helpful. You can use the kitchen area in reception.

The property was clean and the bed was really comfortable and good value for money. The only downside is the lack of soundproofing, any movement you can hear as well as some sort of tv or radio waking us up at around 5:30am each morning. Other than good for a short stay.

The traditional style of the property was lovely and the staff are friendly.

I paid for a single room but it was more like a hostel with sliding screens between the bed areas. There was no individual control of e.g. the air condition or lights, with switches all in a corridor, and the screens were open near the ceiling so sound travels freely between the ‘rooms’. The mattress (actually double size, which took up too much of the floor space) was a foam futon on the floor which wasn’t comfortable, and the small table was not next to the pillow or the charging socket - a strange layout. I usually listen to an audiobook to help with insomnia so couldn’t do this without disturbing the other guests - one of the reason I didn’t book a hostel. There’s also no private area to brush teeth and do makeup/skincare, as the hand basin is in the corridor near the shared toilet/shower. Value for money wise, this was about the same price as my homestay in Hoi An where I had a full double room with en-suite bathroom and balcony - so for what it is it is somewhat overpriced.
