Sen - Rose Ella

While this property is dislocated from Ella centre, I personally would have the incredible views from the big patio over the hussle and rustle of the town anytime. It’s just a 10mins walk along the rails away, and I even loved adventure in that. You absolutely don’t need A/C in the apartment I’ve stayed at - days are cool with a fan provided and nights are fresh. Bed is comfortable. Homeowners are very nice people, breakfasts are plentiful.

It’s a pity that the fridge in the patio is quite noisy. For whatever reason, mobile reception at the property is very bad, and Wi-fi is unpredictable at best.

Large private balcony with amazing view of waterfall from table and chairs. Lovely breakfast and biscuits with tea or coffee upon arrival.

Not really a complaint , but be aware some taxis won’t go there because of the narrow road.

breakfast was amazing! and with a view of diyaluma waterfall. The bed was comfy and room very clean.

everything was great except the window didn’t lock in the bathroom. But this is common and I’ve found this in lots of other places in Ella

What an experience! Sen-Rose is a wonderful place to stay. Our train was delayed and we arrived very late, but we were still greeted very warmly and shown to our room (and very comfy beds). It wasn’t until the next morning that we saw the breathtaking view from our terrace. Wow! Our hosts were attentive, but not intrusive at all. Breakfasts were traditional Sri Lankan, plentiful and absolutely delicious. We also asked the host if she could cook for us one evening and the food was amazing. The sounds of the local creatures and the passing trains added to the charm of the place. I am profoundly glad that we stayed here.

The location was perfect, outside the crowds of Ella but via the railroad you could walk to Ella in 10 minutes. The view was phenomenal and the owners were very friendly. The breakfast was delicious!

It was a great stay in a good property with beautiful design and decorations. It’s noticeable that just is paying attention to the smallest details to make guests to feel good-the home decor as well as welcome coffee! So warm welcoming! The location also is good, close proximity of the center. And a picturesque view! Maybe contact host beforehand arrival, she’d tell the best way to access the property.
