Sen - Rose Ella

The owner was really kind and helpful. She prepared very delicious breakfast for us. Especially for my daughter who can't eat wheat, she prepared wheat-free breakfast. And the location was amazing. It was a really comfortable stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Sen - Rose! Starting from the moment we arrived we felt very welcome. The family is extremely kind and helpful. We received some snacks on arrival, umbrellas when it was raining and we were even brought to the right bus when leaving. Breakfast is very tasty and a nice mix between Sri Lankan and Western food.The place is very beautiful, just like the view. Location is even better than expected: only a 10-minute walk along the train tracks to the city center (but very quiet) and on the way to Ella rock walk (a must-go!). We also appreciated the large mosquito net. Highly recommend a visit!

Mr. Gamini, the host of the place, has really a good heart. He met me at the door and helped to bring my luggage into the room. Then he brought a welcome plate of treats. He helped with everything I asked. The room is nice and clean. The view is beautiful - you can see the hills, the waterfall and beautiful scenery from the patio right outside your door. The bed is comfortable with a mosquito net. You can sleep well at night listening to the sounds of the jungle. When the night is clear - you can see so many stars and the constellations of the Southern Hemisphere. When it's rainy - you can see how the cloud slowly moves into the valley and how everything drowns into the fog right in front of your eyes. When it's sunny - you see a beautiful scenery of the Central Part of Sri-Lanka. It's 10 mins walk right along the train tracks from here to the central street of Ella. The walk there and back is very picturesque. It's safe here. You can walk at night safely.

There's nothing I would mention. I had an issue in the bathroom - the drainage pipe started to leak and the water from the faucet was going straight to the floor. But Mr. Gamini - the host of the place - removed it the next day and it worked well.
