Baba Luru's

Our stay at Baba Luru’s was great! The property was spacious, clean and so welcoming thanks to the wonderful host. Keegan was super helpful from start to finish with the best recommendations for local spots and restaurants. He also helped us with transport and hiring scooters. The guesthouse also offers free yoga sessions which is the best way to start your day. The location was away from the hustle and bustle of the cliff area but still just a 5 min scooter ride away from most spots. The guesthouse is on a large property with many friendly animals and lovely seating areas indoor and outdoor. My favourite part of the stay was the company of the dogs Banana and Coconut! Shout out to Maggi, Taco, Salsa, Peanut and little Chino too! Thank you for hosting us!

I would highly recommend staying in this tranquil oasis if you are looking to get away from busy life. Keegan the host is great and will make you feel very looked after and Baba Luru's will feel like home very fast. I would absolutely stay again!

The animals were beautiful and we made friends with all of the dogs. The grounds were green and spacious and the premises was constantly cleaned and kept in order by Suzie. Keegan was unbelievably hospitable, offering us lifts to places, ordering a matress topper when we said the bed was a little hard (without us asking), and just truly making sure we were happy at all times. He feels more like a friend for life than a manager of a guest house. The communal spaces were great for yoga in the mornings and hanging out, having a few bee rs in some evenings. Nothing - everything was exceptional

Beautiful lush green piece of heaven close to both the south and north side of the cliff. The rooms were cosy and well curated, along with air conditioning to help out during the hot days. Keegan was a wonderful host, letting us in on good spots for food and good times. A great storyteller too! The best part? The friendliest, most lovable dogs, whom I didn’t want to say goodbye to. Taco, Ms Momo, Banana, Peanut, Salsa and Coconut all have my heart. I had the best stay and will never forget the warmth of this place.

Honestly nothing. You will need to rent a Scooty for quick access to the beaches, but we did do that anyway.

Me and my partner have been travelling around India for 2 months now and Baba Luru has been the best place we have stayed for sure! Massive thanks to Keegan, he is so generous, attentive and really felt like he would do anything for you. Super cool guy, with a great vibe. The rooms were great and the facilities were perfect. The property is tucked away in a peaceful paradise, surrounded by goats, ducks, chickens and the most amazing dogs. Banana, Maggie, coconut, peanut, momo, taco and salsa are so well looked after and honestly just so friendly, best fluffy cuddles always. Thank you so much, will truly miss this place ❤️

Beautiful, peaceful homestay run by wonderful, genuine people. Great communal roof space for socialising, yoga, chilling. Cute dogs and lovely relaxed vibe. As a solo traveller I felt welcomed, safe and very happy. My room was comfortable and clean, with a shared lounge area and two balconies. Just book - you won't regret it! Varkala itself has beautiful beaches, yoga, good food. The perfect place to re-energise.

This is a lovely place- slightly removed from the main bustle of the cliff and a great place to truly relax. I had an AC room, which was clean, spacious and well thought out, and there is a large terrace with areas to relax, socialise, work, watch TV / sports or do yoga / work out. Keegan, the host, was also very friendly and helpful with recommendations and also bringing the group together for a meet-up on the beach if you chose. I would highly recommend Baba Luru's!

I loved the animals but if you are not keen on dogs, this is not the place.
