Il mio angolo preferito di Giava. Non solo per l'edificio in sé, un'antica casa coloniale costruita cento anni fa, con giardino interno. E non solo per le ottime colazioni, la pulizia e i fiumi di caffè che mi sono fatta preparare, da brava italiana. È stato per i tour organizzati da Rifat, le spiegazioni che pazientemente Wahyu mi ha dato, la disponibilità, i sorrisi e i balli sfrenati con Dwi. Fatevi portare da Wahyu in giro per Solo: scoprirete la Giava più autentica e non ancora travolta dal turismo. Unico avvertimento: programmatevi almeno tre giorni qui. Ne vale la pena. Mongo mongo forever.

Super aardig personeel, iedereen die hier werkt is super! We werden vriendelijk ontvangen en kregen allemaal tips die we konden doen in Solo. De kamer is ook goed, en het ontbijt erg lekker, zeker aan te raden.

Ein wirklich schönes Homestay um ein paar Tage Solo zu erkunden in zentraler Lage. Die Betten sind sehr bequem, die Zimmer einfach, im indonesischen Stil gehalten. Rifat gibt einem ausführliche und gute Tips, was es in der Stadt und Umgebung zu sehen gibt. Immer wieder gab es Tee. Man fühlt sich sehr wohl und willkommen. Es war ein toller Aufenthalt. In Erinnerung bleibt uns natürlich Dwi mit ihren tollen Snacks für zwischendurch und ihrer immer guten Laune. Danke an das ganze Team!

Super aardig personeel! Weet veel over de omgeving en wilt je alles laten zien. Super fijn verblijf. Verder heel mooi gebouw en ook schoon. Telkens als je aankomt thee aangeboden, hele verzorgde plek om te verblijven.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming and helpful to accommodate your visits in Solo. Location is great, with city centre closeby. Shops and restaurants within walking distance. Very nice atmosphere is the indoor garden. Very homey vibe.

There was no washing table in the room, but that was no problem.

We had a great time, especially because the owner and his staff were super nice and welcoming! We spent almost as much time just hanging out with them and/or their guests in the cozy patio as exploring Solo (much to the chagrin of the owner Rifat, who is a born travel guide and had so much advice on what to do in and around Solo :D). Rifat speaks perfect English, but if you don't, Dwi will help you out with her much more creative approach to English - we had a blast being lost in translation and playing card games <3 We also booked a tour to visit the sites surrounding Solo and Wahyu spontaneously joined us and made for such a lovely tour guide and travel companion for the day! The location is great, right next to the Kraton and close to some dinner options as well. The whole Batik village and museum area is around 30 min footwalk away (but there are actual sidewalks in Solo, so walking is a pretty good option if you don't want to take a Grab).

The reviews about the showers here are so confusing, so just to be clear: there is no water boiler installed, so the water coming out of the shower is not heated. Because most of Indonesia is rather hot and Solo is no exception, the water will run kinda lukewarm instead of ice cold, but there is no hot shower. It's perfectly fine though, just be aware. The staff also offered to bring hot water in a bucket but I didn't feel the need to take them up on it.

Hele vriendelijke ontvangst door een Nederlands sprekende manier. Veel tips gekregen om Surakarta te verkennen. Heerlijk ontbijt en goede service. Homestay zit midden in het centrum, dus veel is op loop afstand. Hele goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding.

Er was geen warm water, voor ons geen probleem met het hete weer en we bleven maar 1 nacht.
