Miracle Home Stay

In unseren drei Wochen Sri Lanka mit die schönste Unterkunft und für uns perfekt, wären gerne noch länger geblieben. Sehr netter und hilfsbereiter Besitzer. Total leckeres Frühstück, was vor den Zimmern im ersten Stock serviert wird. Ein Ort zum Abschalten. Das Hostel liegt direkt neben einem großen Felsen mit tollem Ausblick auf Sonnenaufgang und -untergang. Die Zimmer sind sehr neu und super ausgestattet. Würden wir sofort wieder buchen.

Great, quiet place. Nearby temples, within walking distance. Terrace with a view of nature. Recently renovated room and modern bathroom. There is hot water. Very tasty breakfast and helpful and pleasant host. I would like to come back again.

Great stay, very helpful owners took us to the bus in the morning and provided a delicious breakfast.

Quiet place 10 minutes from the Dambulla cave temple, very tasty breakfast and dinner. The host is kind and respectful and will help you with arranging trips around.

I was only little bit nervous walking alone back in later hours, since it is quite a backstreet, so I didn't do it, but I haven't really felt some danger. Recommendation not about the accommodation: Be alert for scams and unwanted tour guides in the tourist spots. In Dambulla caves, guys are starting to engage into conversation with you and then they turn the informal chat into tour and expect you to pay them at the end. Information is very basic, and it's not about large sums of money, but especially at the sacred place it seems very dishonest not to state it at the first place, that "hey do you need a guide". One of these ones was a tuktuk driver very insisting to pick me up in Kandy, and even in Dambullla tried intensely to persuade me to some tour. Another much more tricky thing are the herbal gardens. If the driver wants to take you to some of them, just reject - the garden itself was nice, I didn't even mind to give some tip for a tour and some neck massage they gave me (but again, they don't state the prices and conditions at the beginning). I love herbal stuff. Oils and things I was shown smelled and looked nice, so I decided to buy some (they even had the tactic "oh we don't force you to buy"), the price was high, but I was reluctant to say no at the counter (silly politeness), but when I unpacked the products, it was god knows what, but nothing of quality. With the host's help I managed to return something, but of course in the shop they were persuading me in sketchy way, how great the products are and what kind of certificates they have (not in English of course, so no way for you to check). It is not worth it. Go to some local market, you will find better stuff.

The Owners were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and new, the breakfast was really good!

everything was perfect . roe and his family also so kind and helpful . the room is so clean and location is so close to dambulla cave temple . it takes 10 minutes bu walking we loved all atmosphere especially birds voice💓💓

The place is located just by walking distance from Dambulla Rock Temple. It makes a perfect gateway to Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya. The owner is the sweetest, always caring for your comfort. Breakfasts were delicious and made just when you needed. Room was comfortable with working AC, last night it started making some noises, but overall I highly recommend this accomodation 🙂
