Miracle Home Stay

The owner was very nice and helpfull. He gave us free lift to bus. The sleeping was very good because of total darkness and quiet outside. Delicious local style breakfest. The room was big with big bathroom, everything perfectly clean. The location is short walk from stairs to the Rock tempel and archeology side.

This place is a 10/10 gem, I am glad I stayed here. Definitely my favorite stay on the whole trip! Clean, neat, spacious rooms with A/C and fan, big bathroom with hot shower and comfortable bed with mosquito net. But not only the facilities were amazing, so was the food! Dinner: The best rice and curry I had in Sri Lanka. The breakfast was plenty and so good as well. The owner is such a friendly and kind person, he helped me with my plans and always checked in on me. Pure hospitality, very rare to find these days! Walking distance to the temple as well, nice and quiet and situated in beautiful surroundings. Grateful I could stay here, it was a lovely experience.

Room was within walking distance of the Dambulla Royal Cave Temple and Golden Temple. Breakfast was good. I was sick at the time so we didn't do much sightseeing unfortunately. The owner drove us to the bus and arranged for a tuk tuk to take us into town to buy dinner.

After visiting other places in Sri Lanka we both felt the dinner which was home cooked with a few curries was overpriced as compared to others. It is not close to anything except the Temple so I would stay elsewhere when visiting again.

Super friendly host family. Picked us up and drove us into town. Helped us get sth back we forgot on the bus. Delicious breakfast and dinner. Spacious, modern and clean room. Quiet location with walking distance to caves.

I liked everything! The room and bathroom were spacious and immaculate, there was A/C and a hot shower, and the balcony was a relaxing place to eat the delicious homemade meals. The homestay is next to a rock you can climb to take in sunrise or sunset, and it’s a 10-minute walk to the Dambulla cave temple. Best of all, Roy and his family were so kind and welcoming. Roy helped me plan a day trip to Polonnaruwa and a sunrise hike to Pidurangala Rock, and he gave me multiple rides to the bus stop. This was one of my favorite stays during my 6 months of traveling in Asia!

The monkeys in the area are pesky. Make sure not to leave items unattended when you’re outside!

The host was super friendly and always addressed my notes perfectly. I arrived at 2 pm and asked him for lunch (I had not mentioned this when I booked). He was happy and asked me which food I liked and then he went to the market to buy and cook lunch for me. The price was also reasonable and the food was great (I had 1 breakfast and 2 lunches during my stay here). The room was big and clean. It had a great balcony for enjoying food with nature. The host gave us a ride to the bus station to go to Kandy for free. He instructed us on how to get the right bus and which bus should we take.

The road to this place is not easy to get in since there is no instruction guide to go to the hotel, especially at night (no light). But google map did a great job for this (follow google map and you can make it). There were a lot of monkeys around this area, so be careful with your stuff and your food.

Very quiet place in a nice neighbourhood. The host was very helpful and polite. The food was excellent.

There are some barking dogs in the area but they don't seem to want to harm anyone
