TV didn't work.

Didnt even end up staying! Turned up and was a house with different locked off bedrooms but shared facilities.

Close to Hamilton.

Noisy, cold, no extra blankets, got sold as a lodge but is more like a hostel. Has hardly any necessities - no shampoo or conditioner, no bath mat, no hand towel, one wifi not working, broken window meaning it was open all night and very cold, no towels on arrival and needed to request these to be dropped off, room was sold as a 'suite' but was just a room with a bed and drawers.

The place was close to the centre of Hamilton which was handy but was on a noisy main road.

I was under the impression this was a lodge, but it’s not. it’s more like an old boarding house with extremely limited resources. There is barely anything for guests except for your bed, shared kitchen facilities, and toilet paper. My room was labelled a ‘suite’ but it’s just a basic room with some drawers and a bed. Be careful when booking - there are no toiletries like shampoo or conditioner, no sanitary bins in the bathrooms, not even a shower mat or hand towel. On arrival there were no towels for any of the guests and we had to request the owner to bring us some (which she did). The bathroom soap was watered down, there was no extra bedding (we were pretty cold!), my room had a broken window which meant it was forced open - didn’t help with maintaining room heat or keeping out traffic noise. One Wifi router didn’t work meaning there was no wifi for upstairs rooms, one small window in my room didn’t have a curtain, there was no power point by the bed (there is on the other side of room) and NO FIRE ALARMS which I am pretty sure is illegal. The lady we dealt with was nice enough but the ‘lodge’ itself was the worst accomodation I’ve been at. I’m saying this because my one medium sized room (‘suite’) was $340 A NIGHT!! Prices were probably hiked because of Fieldays, but for that amount of money, the return was VERY poor and I don’t recommend. This place is more like a backpackers and if they charged backpacker rates, then that would be fine. Finally, I slept incredibly poorly. It was cold, loud from street traffic, the light from the street came through the blinds.

it smelled musty. other guest were in our area because they were not clearly notified by property of the space limits. I booked to have a private bathroom and found one of the other guest using it and they used all my body wash and took our toilet paper and the property manager did nothing about it.
