Anna Asia Villa

Our stay at Ana Asia Villa was absolutely spectacular—and even that feels like an understatement. The house is very spacious, spotlessly clean, and clearly well cared for. Our room was a true suite, with a very comfortable king-size bed and a large, modern, and spacious bathroom. The two women who run the property were incredibly kind, attentive, and always making sure we felt comfortable. We stayed for two nights, and every morning they prepared a large tray of fresh fruit and let us choose between a continental breakfast or a traditional local one. Honestly, it was the best and most generous breakfast we’ve had in all the hotels we stayed at in Sri Lanka. As an extra (and very rare) detail, they offered to do our laundry completely free of charge, included in the price. They also have a third staff member who truly made a difference: he drove us around in his tuk-tuk for a full day and was available for anything we needed. He is extremely kind, friendly, and always willing to help, which made our stay even more special. Without a doubt, I would recommend Ana Asia Villa to everyone. For very little money, you feel truly at home and exceptionally well cared for. I can’t give more than five stars—but if I could, I would give ten ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Everything was perfect!!!

I struggled to decide where to stay in Kandy so went with my belly and booked this homestay after reading a great review of the breakfast. Oh wow! The breakfast exceeded my expectations and was probably one of the best meals I had in Sri Lanka. 2 delicious and fragrant curries, rotis, sambal, rice and so much fresh fruit. The homestay is conveniently located and just a short walk to the temple of the tooth. I have completely forgotten the names of my lovely hosts but I felt very spoiled by them

Everything was perfect

The room was clean and well-equipped. It’s one of two bedrooms inside an apartment, and the setup was comfortable. The location was central and right by the lake, yet tucked up on a hill so it was still quiet and peaceful. I felt safe walking around the area alone. Breakfast was excellent. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, especially Puspa, who even did my laundry for me.

Response times were a bit slow, and I would have preferred a bath mat in the shower. The water pressure also wasn’t always strong. However, these were minor issues.

Gute Lage, super sauber, perfekte und moderne Ausstattung. Sehr bemühter Gastgeber.

Schwaches WIFI

The villa was clean and comfortable. You can walk into Kandy city easily along the lake. Our hosts were lovely and willing to help in anyway. Breakfast was delicious…. Especially the traditional Sri Lankan breakfast. Puspa did our laundry, which we were grateful for. Kapila took us to some sites with his tuk tuk and arranged tickets to the traditional Kandian dance… which was fabulous! We thoroughly loved our stay in Kandy.

Nothing

We had a wonderful stay! The room was fantastic and very spacious, so we felt right at home. We were especially impressed by the large bathroom with its modern shower cubicle – and best of all: instant hot water whenever we wanted it. A very special thank you goes to Kapila. He showed us around the city and catered perfectly to our needs. We wanted to buy beautiful wooden figurines and spices, and he took us to some truly amazing shops. We certainly wouldn't have found these special stores without him. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable stay – highly recommended!

Alles war TOP! Der Manager Kapila mit seinem Team war überaus hilfsbereit und die Einrichtung des Zimmers und des Gemeinschafts-/Frühstücksraums war super gepflegt und eine richtige Wohlfühloase. Das Frühstück (wahlweise kontinental oder Sri Lanka Style) wurde frisch zubereitet und ließ keine Wünsche offen.

Can I give this a 15? It was so far beyond our expectations that I hardly know how to rate this villa. The management and the staff were so helpful and accommodating and the villa itself is comfortable, clean and beautiful. Breakfast is amazing. Kapila arranged tickets for us and both Pushpa and Harshani were lovely and efficient. Location is perfect. I can’t recommend Anna Asia Villa highly enough.
