Y&Y Residence

The Y&Y residence offers one upstairs double room in a private house. The room is absolutely private with a balcony overlooking the main road. The room has everything you need. A comfortable bed, wardrobe, shelving, kettle and a fully functioning bathroom with a really good shower. Everything is spotlessly clean. It is very good value for money. It's only 5 minutes walk into town and a short tuk tuk ride from the train station. The owner is very welcoming and helpful.

The room is a little cluttered with ornaments and things you don't need .but really that isn't such a problem.

This property was brilliant. The large room had a marble floor, very comfortable bed, hot and powerful walk- in shower, blackout curtains, as well as tea/coffee making facility, and was extremely clean. The family is sweet and their generous and gentle nature creates a relaxing atmosphere and stay! A bonus is that it is a 5 minutes walk to Kandy Lake : walk up the hill 60 paces and you will see Royal Garden Park, beside it there is a path down to Kandy Lake. Highly recommend and you are indeed lucky is you can stay here!

Super clean with lots of amenities, walking distance to the city center, nice and helpful hosts

It’s a bit loud in the morning from the cars on the street, which is obviously not the hosts fault but maybe good to know for light sleepers

The place is literally excellent. We expected much less for this value. The homestay is close to the city center, however, located in a peaceful neighborhood away from the hustle and crouds. The room is equipped well with all necessary things in place and the bathroom design is cozy and functional unlike many places I stayed before in Sri Lanka. I also enjoyed the balcony with the view of huge old jackfruit trees. We did laundry of a large bag of clothes through the homestay and it was just $10 for the whole thing!

Most well equipped room we stayed in in Sri Lanka. Feels newly renovated, great bathroom. The breakfast was fantastic & so generous. Host family was lovely. Good location close to lake. Would stay again.

WiFi was weak originally (I think from a storm) but we just told the host and they fixed it immediately & then it worked very well

Everything was great!

This homestay definitely took us by surprise. It has everything that an accomodation can offer, from facilities to very comfortable beds to very nice owners! The family helped us with every need and the location of the stay was also amazing as it was close to the center so you can walk but still have some peace and quiet.

Super friedly family and a great room! perfekt Location directly on the Kandy Lake for exploring by foot! We would come again!
